New Years Resolutions 2009 2.0

Remember these?

Well...

...here's how I did!

Goal #1: Be Healthier~I work out. In fact, I've lost 25 pounds! I eat healthier. I can still do better in the eating dept. But, I can safely say I've reached that goal. Pass!

Goal #2: Study the scriptures more~honestly, I can't say I've "studied" them more, but I am definitely reading them more. I now read an article out of the Ensign every morning before working out, and I read the scriptures every night before bed. Like goal #1, I can do better. As far as reaching this goal goes...probably not as much as the first goal...but I will pass myself anyway since I'm the judge of this whole thing in the first place ;)

Goal #3: Be punctual~Still about the same as I was last year with this one. I was BETTER at being on time, but I'm still falling way short. Fail.

Goal #4: Be organized~I have a daily schedule including daily chores, a weekly menu, a monthly budget, the apartment is relatively decent at all times when not going crazy busy with a million concerts in two weeks time...and I even have the whole year's worth of songs scheduled for the Primary! I'd say that's a pass. I still waste time sometimes, though...

I realize this is more for me than anyone else. I find it's actually quite motivating to write these down publicly.

Type 2

Because you're all going to find out eventually, if you didn't know already...

Seth has Type 2 Diabetes.

He found out right after we arrived in Casper, pretty much.

Out of the blue decision to check his blood sugar...

...which was dangerously high.

I'm glad he did.

Hanging Out

Porter had a lot of fun playing with all of the family!

He especially enjoyed having sword fights...

(his face in the next picture is priceless...)

...when fighting doesn't do the trick...

...silly boy.
Porter had a lot of fun with Leah's boys...

He didn't seem to mind being the center of their attention...but I think someone else did...

How relaxing.

Photographer

...for a day :)

I actually had a lot of fun taking pictures!

Maybe I've found something I might want to get into more.

I'm definitely no pro...
...but, I figured I'd share some of my favorites of the day.

Porter the Entertainer

What happens when you put a little mimicker, a comedy show, and the Rockband mic in the same room?

Okay, now you be funny...

Chistmas Break

For Christmas break, Seth and I are in Wyoming with family! We have enjoyed Christmas, the snow, and being together! We hope all of you are having just as much fun as we are! Because of how active the family is (and those of you who know the Jensen family know what I mean) I will not be able to spend the time needed to update the blog...but if I happen to find the time...for instance at this moment...I will try to.

**you will have to scroll down to see some of the posts because I will date them as close to the date of the actual event as much as I can.**

Here's what to look forward to:
Concerts before leaving during the crazy finals week
Our Christmas card
Our 4th Anniversary
Flying out to Wyoming

Giving and Receiving

Christmas afternoon...
Yes, I said afternoon.
We had a very relaxing Christmas. Jealous?
...we divided up the gifts, took turns, and enjoyed the gifts.

Porter was a pro at unwrapping! Much better than last year.

LaRene got a very soft gift that Wyatt wanted to get in on...

It was very cute.

The most favorite gift out of the toddlers was Porter's Little People Bus!

Porter had to guard it ;)
Merry Christmas!!!

Christmas Eve Happenings

We all gathered for a family musical program...

...instruments were played...

...mainly this one...

...I think Jake had the best audience...

...some of us improvised...

...and we all had a great time!

We also exchanged dollar store gifts, and Seth's was my favorite

A great night full of family fun and love

Gingerbread

Until I joined Seth's family, I'd never made a gingerbread house for Christmas...

Now I've made two!...with a little help from Levi to make it...strange. haha
The gingerbread house that was my favorite, though?
The barfing snowman.

Porter certainly loved hanging out with his cute little cousin

He was so sweet with her

It was so cute to watch

I think she liked him too

It was kinda hard to tell, though

She loved everyone.

Wyoming for Christmas!

We travelled to Wyoming the day after finals.

Don't worry, we flew most of the way.

Thanks Clark & LaRene!

Porter was a perfect child until the last hour or so of travel.

We're here with the whole Jensen clan but Ben...

But, he has a very good excuse.

Our Pre-Christmas...Christmas

Because we didn't want to bring everything with us on the plane, we had a "Pre-Christmas Christmas" with our gifts to each other...

Can you tell I'm super excited about mine?!

Here's what Porter thought about his...

He was excited about it until he found out it moved.

I'm sure he'll start wanting to be in it all the time pretty soon...

Seth wanted a gun for Christmas, so I left the looking up to him...

...he hasn't found one, yet.

Our Card to You!

Concert in the Grotto

One of my concerts with Beati this season was at the Grotto.

I believe it was our best one.

Not only because we did well...heehee...but because of the setting we peformed with.

Gorgeous.
Jenn came to see me peform!

I'm so glad she came! It was a lot of fun seeing someone I knew out in the audience!

Seth had studies, so didn't come to this one.

I know I don't need to say this, but...
SO PRETTY!

I love Christmas.
