Blue Bell

I enjoyed certain things about Texas that weren't anywhere else that I missed when we moved away for good.

One of the things I was missing about Texas was the Blue Bell brand ice cream.

So, when I saw this:

...at Walmart, I squealed a bit before throwing the freezer door open and grabbing one.

I think I'll like Cheyenne.

Porter got one more gift for his birthday...

Bad guys better watch out.

4

Four years ago this last Sunday, Porter came into our lives.

Birth
One
Two
Three
And, we can't believe how much he's grown.

We first celebrated his birthday by going to church...

...after he was given a couple suckers in our new ward, we came home to really celebrate.

We gave him our gift...

A "real" bike!

Now the weather just needs to be nicer because we live right by a park!

Perfect.

While Seth and Porter took their Sunday naps of which I never take.

I'm not a napper.

Too much to do.

I made this awesome meal since regular mac and cheese isn't nearly as delish...

...and I made this:

Totally hideous, I know.

BUT, Porter knew who it was!

That's all that matters.

Happy Birthday to my FOUR YEAR OLD!!!

I have such a handsome little boy.

Love you SO SO much!

Family Celebration

Since Porter's birthday landed on a Sunday this year, and it happened to be the day after we would be going back to Cheyenne, we celebrated his birthday with family right before we left.

First...

Pizza Hut!

Porter's choice.

A quite good one, at that.

Second...

...cupcakes with blue frosting.

And, finally...

Presents!

First one was from Mama and it was...

...an "I Spy" quilt!!!

Porter loves this blanket!

Every fabric piece has a different picture...

...and a fabric piece on the back that tells you what to look for.

Porter gets excited telling us what he sees.

Second gift was from Emily...

And, he loves it, too!

Super talented crafty family.

While we had waited to open Emily's gift, we played with some k'nex, and made these:

An "arrow" helicopter--made by me.

A trike with a trailer--made by Seth
Put them together?

A trike that has a helicopter landing.

We are so glad we could celebrate holidays and birthdays with family!

29

Happy Birthday to my seriously awesome hubby...

...who can blow out 29 candles with one breath!

He's even posing in pride.

All of us very much enjoyed your choice of chocolate peanut butter cheesecake!

Love Day

I'm so lucky to have this handsome devil...

...this super cute guy too...

...and two sweet unseen angels to share my love with.

Happy Valentines Day!

Michael

Michael is Emily's boyfriend.

But, she says he's not.

Apparently it's complicated...

...when really it's not that complicated.

Anyway...

When Michael would come over, Porter liked to steal his attention because he was awesome at keeping Porter entertained.

Emily didn't mind.

In fact, she usually joined in.

For example:

Both are quite engrossed in what Porter has to say.

Eleven

We've moved!!

We spent all day Monday taking stuff into our new place and felt very much like this:

On our way back to Casper.

Yep!

We came back to take a trailer we borrowed (Thanks Allens!), to fix the Subaru, and to make a second run of stuff.

The Office

Not the show.

(Although, it is one of our absolute favorites.)

Porter and I visited "the office" or Jensen Eye Care, Seth's future workplace, to pick up something from storage in the basement.

The secretaries love getting to shower Porter with trinkets when we visit.

This is what he came home with this time:

He loves the watch, especially.

So much so that he cries about it if it falls off, or he can't get it on, or I wont put it on again for the 20th time in the past five minutes, or he can't find it.

Seriously.

Maybe I'll get him an actual one so he'll stop.

We've actually spent quite a bit of time over there (at Pops' Office) this last week.

Because....

...drum roll...

WE ARE MOVING TOMORROW!!!

In spite of the excitement such large words show, I'm honestly not a huge fan of moving.

I wonder if it stems from never having moved since birth until college...

...or because this will be move number 11...

...or because I know we'll start move 12 in three months...

...or all of the above.

BUT...

I'm excited this time around.

Why?

I told you last week.

But, if you missed it, Seth will no longer be in a separate location from Porter and me!!

Although, our various stuff will still be at four different locations.

One More Week

"One more week" is what I keep telling myself.

One more week until Seth doesn't have to be gone all week long.

One more week and we will be able to see each other more than 2 or 3 days a week (if that, some weeks)

One more week, and this little guy...

...will also have his Daddy around again!!!

I'm excited.

I'm excited because I'm totally over not having him around.

I don't know how military wives do it.

PS: We got the place we wanted in Cheyenne!

And, no, we still don't know what the inside looks like.
