Followers

We had more people we didn't know following this blog than ones we did.

Let's just say, we're a little uncomfortable with that.

SO, I have gotten rid of that little gadget.

This blog is more for people we know than for people we don't know.

Not that people we don't know can't read it, but if you read it and don't make yourself known, don't you think that's suspicious?

To those who followed it and we didn't know you, I find that kinda...weird.

Especially since there was following and no commenting...

To those who followed it and we did know you, sorry for the inconvenience...

That is all.

A little posting after publishing...
I may have been a bit unclear in my description above...It's only this blog that we think it's strange to be a follower in the follower's gadget when you don't know our family and don't make yourself known/try to get to know us, because this blog is about us as a family and what we do. I have a creations blog at signaturecreationsbysierra.blogspot.com where I don't mind if I don't know you and you become a follower. It's an idea blog for whomever. Over there, it's still okay to be a follower. Over here, we're being a bit more wary so as to protect our family. I mean, I look at crafty inspiration blogs of people I've never met all the time for ideas and that doesn't bother me. I don't think it bothers them either since the blog is especially for that. It's the family blogs where I find it strange.
Also, if it went unnoticed, I happen to have a "copyright" over to the left that is a reminder to whomever may happen upon our cute little blog...

Hope that clears it up a bit :)

Children's Museum

We really have some great friends up here.

The day after we got back home, we got a call from the Pitts!

They saw our car and asked us to join them at the...

We had a great time!

Porter especially...

...playing grocery shopping..

...and cafe owner...

...this part was hard to sit by and watch for me.

That food looked so real!

Porter enjoyed looking at the fish in the toddler room...

...that fish was "silly"

Ryan really enjoyed playing dress-up in the theatre room...

As did Scott...

...but Porter wasn't convinced.

He and Ezra would have rather been the sound effects.

Gotta say, though...

...Scott was definitely the star of this show.

Very nice.

Then it was to the clay!

Seth helped Porter make a snow man!

Then it was to a contruction site...

Where it was apparently the place to be burried.

Wouldn't have been as fun without you, Scott!

And last, but certainly no where near least...

Water.

Seth had to get in on this one.

He made some pretty neat pathways.

Thanks, Pitts!!

Even though I didn't get a picture of Brianne and me, we certainly had a great time hanging out.

Love you guys!

Trip to IF

For a very quick weekend after New Years, we made a trip to Idaho Falls.

We wanted to make sure we got to see...

Mama...

...the Farrers...

...and Pops & Adam.

Seth's parents were dropping Adam of at BYU-I.

We hadn't seen them for a year and it was very nice to get to visit.

Even if it was only for a short while.

Resolutions 2011

Visiting last years resolutions, I'm happy to say that I met every goal!! Well, the punctual one got slipped up a couple times, but I'm very proud of myself.

On to this year...

1. Spend more one on one time with Porter. I think I spend a lot of time with him...in front of a movie. He's really a very independent little boy, and I think that's partially my fault. I think I have made him independent because I usually have things to do. I want to make sure I spend an hour just hanging out with my son.

2. Be a better visiting teacher. I'm the world's worst, I think. I haven't gone visiting teaching for over three years. Shows how bad it's gotten.

3. Get out of the stinkin' house at least once a day. Self-explanitory. This year's going to be a little rough, so I need to make sure I keep this one. (And, yes, my house is stinkin' at the moment.)

4. Limit time wasted. I've gotten better at this. No more FarmTown, but I still spend too much time online on the facebook homepage, looking at craft blogs, blogging myself, and catching up on everyone's personal blogs. I need to limit it somehow, and know that if I don't get it done, then I don't get it done and it's not a big deal. (Sorry loyal readers...)

New Years

Before New Years Eve, the Martins came down for a visit.

Since they didn't make Christmas, they opened their gifts after they arrived.

Becca and Kelly were going to play for the Dubliners in Sun Valley, so we watched Arika and little Ava.

Ava's at the sweet little age of 5 months.

She's so fun to play with.

She even enjoys similar things Porter enjoyed at her age.

Porter was very interested in Ava.

He was very sweet with her and would try to get her to hold his pinky like she held mine when she first arrived.

He was a little jealous of all her attention, though...

I usually ended up holding them both :)

That night, surprisingly, we stayed up until midnight and rang in the new year.

At 12:05, we went to bed.

Little Rockstar

Locked In

Whenever we come to Gammie's house, Porter likes to take over Senji's kennel.

This time around, he wanted to be locked inside.

Penguin PJs

For Christmas this year, from Santa, Sierra got a pair of penguin pjs.

Porter already had a pair of his own that matched!

Santa really does see you when you're sleeping.
