July

In July...

We moved into our HOUSE!!!!!!!!

...

Lilia turned 9 months!

...

We were finally able to use this jumper because we finally had doors with the correct hardware, and Lilia LOVED it!

...

Lilia experienced her first Independence Day!

To celebrate before fireworks, we decided to go here...

Lilia and I didn't climb up.

It was seriously a scorcher that day.

...

We witnessed the Drum and Bugle Corps play at NCHS!

Did you know that Casper has its own?

The Troopers.

Pretty sweet.

...

For exercise, Seth and I would go to the river...

He would play, and I would run with the kids.

Usually, it was as nice as this, but one of the days, a severe thunderstorm crept up on us.

We made it back to the cars right before it hit where we were.

Multiple lightning strikes hit right by as we drove home.

Ah, the plains...

...

Lilia and Porter have been helpful...

...

Lilia had her first pedicure...

...of which I learned to paint her toes when sleeping next time because this was the "good" foot.

...

Lilia started climbing up the stairs!

She hadn't quite mastered going down, so I would have to follow her up.

If I didn't follow her, I would hear her whine and hit the top stair in demand for me to come get her.

...

Lilia like to save things...

...

Lilia dancing...

Seth and Clark decided to compete in a mountain bike race!

No prizes, just happiness and bruises from crashing.

Porter liked riding around while they raced...

...cutie.

...

Porter and Wyatt helping with the building of a fire pit at Mama and Pops' place.

It looks like they're fighting, but they're not.

It was pretty cute.

...

And, that's July!!

Blast from the Past

I was super fortunate to get to see my old choir I was in while at college perform just south of us in Sandy this last week...

BYU-Idaho's Vocal Union!

Plus, two of us "oldies".

The only current member of the choir I knew was in Collegiate Singers with me while I was there...

Eva!

The concert was amazing (never thought it wouldn't be), and I even got a song dedicated to me that they weren't planning on singing!

Compliments of Sister Brower.

It was a very pleasant surprise!

After almost six years, finally getting to catch up!

And goof off.
It was seriously so good to see everyone and catch up!!

Straight to You

For our date night, Seth and I went to see...

...JOSH GROBAN!!!!

Seth was so extremely excited that he shouted!

Actually, no he didn't.

In reality, it was more like this...

But, that probably goes without saying.

Josh was travelling with Eric Lewis, or ELEW who was on America's Got Talent.

Source
He's a Jazz/Rock pianist and he was quite entertaining!

After about 10 minutes of him, though, I was getting anxious.

He's not who I came to see, but he did a great job and I really enjoyed his show.

It doesn't change the fact that I came for Josh.

I was SO excited to see him!!!

Not just because he's just so darn good-looking...

Source
...but because his singing gives me chills!!

I have a confession:

I'm one of "those fans" when it comes to Josh.

I literally cried a little when he started singing, I was that excited.

Not kidding.

I am a person I occasionally make fun of!

Interesting realization.

Let me tell you, though, Josh did not disappoint!!!

He's just as incredible as he is on his albums!

If not more incredible!

Didn't think it possible.

Charming personality, great entertainer, and talented guy!

Wasn't expecting this!!

Now I just need to become famous so I can have the chance at an opportunity to sing with him.

Any tips on how to accomplish that?!

Totally serious.

It was an amazing concert!!

Perlman in Sun Valley

Savanna came down with these guys...

...for a weekend!

Matt, Maggie, and Dave!

Seth and I knew Dave and Maggie from BYU-Idaho!

Dave was a trumpet player with Seth in Sound Alliance.

He went on the same tour Seth and I did to the Northwest when Seth and I first really met!

Maggie was my cousin's roomate!

Dave and Maggie have quite the story of on and off dating, but they got married, and I'm so glad because I always thought they should.

Anyway, it was SO good to see them again!

While in Twin, we made sure to do a bit of touring with our visitors.

Porter loved hanging out with Maggie!

I loved it, too!

The first place we visited was the Twin Falls...

...which is now just a single fall.

History: Idaho power came and dammed up the second fall.

Still, a very pretty place.

Porter really enjoyed his new friends!

I think they liked him, too.

Our second stop was to the Shoshone Falls.

The falls were not all that impressive since they weren't flowing full force.

More history: Idaho Power took over the controlling of the flow of the water.

We enjoyed it, anyway.

After the bit of site-seeing, we headed up to Sun Valley!

This was the whole reason for the visit!

Itzhak Perlman was going to play!

While we waited for the concert to start, I attempted a group shot.

I almost got everyone in the picture...

We brought up dinner with us, and enjoyed it before the concert.

Porter especially loved the soda...

...and the barbecue chips.

This is how we watched the concert:

At least, how most of us did.

There were people under the canopy of the picture above that looks like a tent.

But, those were people who actually paid to come see it.

Porter was more interested in using my leg as a road with his cars than in the concert itself.

I must make a good road, because this is something that happens daily.

We very much enjoyed the concert!

Even if there were only three songs played.

And, even if two of them were played by Mr. Perlman.

The two he played were absolutely amazing!

One of which was the Theme from Shindler's List.

My favorite.

He is still an awe-inspiring musician.

Age hasn't made a difference in his violin playing.

Goes to show you, there is still an ability do extraordinary things even when you're not so extraordinarily young.
