36 Weeks

At my last doctor's appointment, I made a choice--

One week or two?

The process of deciding before that day freaked me out a little.

Okay, a lot.

After calming down realizing freaking out wasn't going to make my decision for me, I chose to leave my decision up to how far I'm progressing because I want to make sure Lilia will be ready to come.

When I was checked at my appointment, I was told that I'm barely progressing--one centimeter.

Yeah, you read that right.

I've got a long way to go.

Two weeks is the decision.

I want to give her a bit more time to get ready.

(And, trust me, she has been workin'.)

That means, this picture...

...will be my last of this pregnancy.

I will be induced, and we will welcome this beautiful angel into the world!

I couldn't be more excited!

Feeling very blessed.

Family, Gratitude, Water, & Lots of Walking

We met up downtown with the Howes this weekend to tour and just be together!

Our first stop was the Church History Museum on West Temple.

We got to meet the last official Son of the Mormon Pioneers...

...he gladly played music while the kids (not Porter, though) danced.

It was so cute to watch.

We also got to look at and read about how things were back then.

I was impressed at how much we take for granted in life today.

It made me feel more grateful for what we have.

A gorgeous hand-made blessing dress
Porter and the kids...including some of the "big" ones...enjoyed the kid area.

I made sure to look at the artwork on display.

Our second stop was the Conference Center.

I've been before, many times, but I've never gotten to go up to the roof.

So, that's where we went!

Our sweet guide kept worrying about the kids around the water...

...she would keep ushering them away as she was afraid they would fall in.

But, that didn't stop them from going toward it.

In fact, once we were done there, we just took them to more water!

Water at the reflecting pool by the temple and water at the fountains at City Creek Mall.

Porter's shirt was wet on the way home, much to his dismay, and I was quite ready to put my feet up after all that walking around.

Signs of a good time!

Wrapped Up

I wrapped up Porter's penguin, Baby, in a baby burrito...

...so he could hold him like a baby.

Stay cute and sweet, my little man.

Showered

In about a span of 2 weeks, my wonderful family and friends put on a baby shower for me!

It was so great to see everyone who came!!

And, so great that they were able to come on such short notice!

Love you all!

33 Weeks 6 Days

At my 34 week appointment, I didn't get any new news, but I did get to see my pretty girl.

Porter was with me, and commented during the ultrasound that he saw "bubbles"!

I guess that cord does look like bubbles :)

See you in about 2 to 4 weeks, little one!

Toe Ring

"Look, Mommy, I have a toe ring like you!"

Silly boy.

Preschool

Porter and I will be going through the Preschool experience together.

And, so far, he loves it!

Besides, this way, he can do "a lesson" without having to have his hair brushed.

Swimming

Pretty good for never having formal lessons!

Blanket Tent

Who doesn't love camping in their own room?

Thanks Daddy!

Thunderstorm Love

We had two thunderstorms within 24 hours.

I.love.thunderstorms.

Seth and I stayed up until about 2 am just to watch/listen to the first one.

Yes, we're a bit crazy.

The second was in the afternoon, so that was easier to watch.

Plus, it ended with a gorgeous rainbow...

Actually, with a gorgeous double rainbow!

When I got around to taking the picture, it was more faded, so here's a bit of help...

After living without a thunderstorm for almost four years in Oregon, I was very much content to experience two in one day.

The Reason

This is why it's so difficult to sleep in the same bed as Porter...

Now, picture Seth's head right to the right of Porters.

That's how it was before he got up to take this picture.

32 Weeks

Apparently, I don't know what to do with my hands.

Things are still progressing well!

Which is great.

What could be even greater:

At my last appointment, I was told that I may be induced at 37 weeks!

This is because of my not-so-perfect pregnancy history.

It all depends on that awesome cervix of mine when the times comes, though.

Therefore, I have about four to six weeks left!

I know...

WHAT?!

That went fast.

Our apartment and our list of items to get before baby comes are so not ready for that small window of time.

But we are so excited!!!

Swimming & Pizza

I've spent most of my time organizing things I brought back from my parents' place ever since we got home.

Our apartment looked like we just moved in up until...well...today.

Porter and I haven't seen much daylight this last week.

So, I was very happy to welcome the Howes over for a swim.

Made for a break at the perfect time.

Plus, Porter and I got to have some much-needed fun.

Definitely gonna have to do this more!

Seth Playing Car Mechanic

Again.

This is how we save some money.

After getting back home, bringing everything we had at my parent's home back with us (except my art because I don't trust bringing it during moves), Seth got to work on the Durango.

After about four days dropping him off at the Trax for work so I could have the car, and six nights working on in after he would return from work, Seth fixed the air conditioning.

He is officially Mr. Amazing...or Superman, if you will.
